Simply roll it on, at 100 square feet per gallon and you are done! Gaco Shield can be applied to Cedar or Treated. If the surface already had a water repellant applied, it needs to be removed.
Clean the deck of most dirt and grime and wait 48 hours, so it can dry. Put the Gaco Shield on, and in 2-4 hours you can walk on it. Allow 48 hours to put your deck furniture back in place. Gaco Shield is available in 4 standard premixed colors and with tinting, 54 other colors. One is sure to work for you.
To prevent slipping when wet, and to add life to the surface, Gaco offers a grit which can be added to the Gaco Shield for use on deck surfaces. When coating railing, spindles and other surfaces, you won't need to add the grit.
